A Newton Abbot-based charity has rebranded and launched a new website to emphasise its commitment to supporting young people.
Life Chance Trust helps young people deal with the effects of childhood trauma through mentoring, life skills training and the provision of therapeutic, practical and financial support. It launched its new website and branding on January 6.
The charity felt that its previous branding and online presence was outdated and failed to resonate with the young people it supports.
‘We needed a modern, positive, engaging and user-friendly platform that showcases our work, communicates our purpose effectively and connects us with young people, donors and partners,’ explained Life head of trust Hannah Moon.

The biggest priority was that the new designs appealed to young people and all the ideas were shown to youngsters including Life Trust mentees, Newton About Youth Council and Teignmouth Community School Youth Council. ‘They all fed back really positively and constructively,’ noted Hannah. ‘In fact, our creative team at Studio 51 even made changes based on some of the suggestions by local young people.’
Developed in just three months, thanks to the hard work of creative agencies Altitude Design and Studio 51 and generous funding from trustee Simon Almond, the new branding and website reflect the way Life Chance Trust offers hope, opportunity and transformation for young people who have experienced adverse childhood trauma.
The badge-like new logo symbolises a seal of trust and commitment. A star at the heart of the logo represents hope and guidance and the new opportunities that Life Chance Trust offers. The circular shape embodies unity and inclusivity, signifying the charity’s mission to support, uplift, and guide young people toward a brighter future. Bold, clear typography reinforces the charity’s strong and dependable presence.
Each colour in the design was chosen to convey a sense of optimism, growth, and limitless potential. The palette blends bright sky blue and orange with softer pastels, balancing energy and calm and symbolising the journey from trauma to hope.
