Worcestershire MPs show support for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity

The MPs, including Droitwich and Evesham MP Nigel Huddleston and Worcester MP Tom Collins, attended a parliamentary reception at the House of Commons to learn more about the charity’s work.

The event provided an insight into the charity’s role as the county’s primary air ambulance organisation.

More than 25 MPs from across the Midlands attended the event to learn about the advanced clinical care, medicines, and equipment the charity provides.

They also took part in CPR demonstrations, met with former patients, and learned about the region’s hospital helipad network.

Hanna Sebright, chief executive for the charity, said: “The event provided an opportunity to highlight our pre-hospital enhanced care service to patients across the Midlands region.

“We highlighted our charitable status, as the service is funded by donations, and outlined how the service adds value to the NHS by supporting the ambulance services within our operating area.

“We were honoured to welcome so many of our longstanding and supportive MPs as well as introduce ourselves to those newly elected in July’s general election.

“I would like to thank our MPs for attending and signing our pledge to demonstrate their support of advanced pre-hospital care in their area.”

The charity provides lifesaving care to those in critical need within just 10 minutes of an emergency.
