Worcester exhibition raises hundreds for Medical Aid for Palestinians

The ‘Art as a Protest’ exhibition was held at the Artery Studios in Worcester on the weekend of December 6-8.

The event was held in collaboration with the Worcester Palestinian Solidarity Campaign and raised £723 for Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP).

The three-day exhibition featured a collection of artworks donated by artists from the area,, each available for purchase at a flat rate of £60.

The exhibition also offered textiles, postcards, and handmade pots for sale.

Visitors were also treated to talks, poetry performances, and live music.

Yasmin Agilah, a director at the studios and the event’s curator and organiser, said: “This event was about more than just art – it was about bringing our community together to stand in solidarity and to make a difference.

“I’m so proud of what we achieved, and I’m deeply grateful to the artists and everyone who supported us.”

A spokesperson for the campaign said: “The success of this exhibition demonstrates how art can amplify important issues and bring people together to make a tangible difference.

“We are thrilled to be donating these funds to Medical Aid for Palestinians, whose work is essential in providing medical care and relief to those in need.”

The exhibition aimed to highlight the power of art as a tool for advocacy and unity.
