The Spring Lunchtime Recital Series, which began on Thursday (January 9) with a performance from soprano Rebecca Hardwick, will feature shows every Thursday at 12.15pm.
The next weeks will see organists François Cloete and Roger Judd, and violinist Anna Holmes perform as part of the series.
February will bring Benjamin Nicholas, ensembles from King’s School Worcester, the Quattuor Artium piano quartet, and organist Jonathan Hope to the Cathedral.
March will feature guitarist Ahmed Dickinson, organist Keith Hearnshaw, pianist Angelina Kopyrina, and vocal students from Royal Grammar School Worcester.
All recitals are free, with donations welcome at a retiring collection.
Summer and Autumn series performers will be announced soon.
In addition to the recitals, a range of candlelit concerts are planned, featuring the music of Coldplay, The Drifters, The Beatles, Radiohead, U2, and Bowie, with live performances by Tunde of Lighthouse Family and Boney M.
Tickets are also on sale for Worcester Festival Choral Society’s performance of Johann Sebastian Bach’s 1727 oratorio St Matthew Passion on Saturday, March 22.
