Woman with appalling record jailed for biting nurse and kicking police

Paris Willows has a number of previous convictions for assaults committed against emergency service workers simply doing their jobs.

Now, the 20-year-old is back serving a custodial sentence after biting a nurse and kicking police.

She was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court, having been convicted of two counts of assaulting by beating of an emergency worker and one of using threatening behaviour.

The defendant was also convicted of three counts of possessing either controlled drugs of class B or C.

The court heard that, on November 18, at approximately 1am, officers from Cheshire Police found Willows to be in possession of illegal drugs.

She was found near Warrington Bus Interchange with tablets of the class C drugs, clonazepam and pregabalin.

Willows was transported to custody and was further found in possession of the class B drug cannabis.

Due to concerns for her health, she was taken to hospital, where she was verbally abusive to a staff member and kicked an officer.

The following day, while in hospital, she assaulted a nurse by biting her.

The court heard of the defendant’s horrific criminal record, as she has amassed more than a hundred previous convictions – despite only being 20 years of age.

In May last year, she was sentenced to nine weeks in a young offender institution for sending a number of Facebook, text and voice messages that were ‘grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character’.

That same day, she assaulted a ‘vulnerable’ 15-year-old girl by punching her in the face.

A previous court hearing heard the extent of her ‘extensive’ criminal record, with more than 30 previous convictions for in excess of 110 offences, many of which were for assaulting an emergency worker.

She was also locked up for 12 months in March last year after being convicted of five counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker by pinching and kicking police.

For her latest offending, the court deemed her behaviour and record too serious for anything other than an immediate custodial term.

As a result, they sentenced Willows, of Poplars Avenue in Orford, to seven months imprisonment.
