Windsor crash: Group crashed stolen car on Royal Windsor Way

Thames Valley Police are appealing for information about the incident which took place between 1.19am and 1.25am on Saturday (December 21).

A silver VW Polo was stolen with keys from Alma Road car park in Windsor.

A few minutes later, the car, which was travelling north on Royal Windsor Way, crashed into a traffic light on the roundabout underneath junction 6 of the M4.

The occupants in the vehicle, believed to be a group of men and women in their early 20s, ran away from the scene.

The stolen car was a 13 plate Polo.

Investigating officer PC Nathan Rock, based at Slough police station, said: “I am appealing to anybody who believes that they witnessed either the theft of the vehicle or the subsequent collision to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

“If anybody was driving in the area of the two incidents and may have dash-cam footage, I would ask you to please check this and contact us if it has captured anything that may assist this investigation.
