Winchester meetings to discuss burglaries and safety tips

PC Will Andrews, the Winchester South Beat Dedicated Neighbourhood Officer (DNO), has organised these meetings with the help of community members.

They will take place on Tuesday, January 21 at 6.30pm at Badger Farm Community Centre and on Wednesday, January 22 at 11am at St Luke’s Church in Stanmore.

The meetings will cover topics such as securing property against break-ins, tips for spotting suspicious behaviour, the latest crime prevention tools, and what to do if you are a victim of burglary.

PC Andrews said: “As the DNO for the Winchester City South beat, I have picked two venues within my patch, however, depending on the success and response from the meetings, my colleagues and I are happy to branch out to the rest of the city, and rural areas further afield.”

He added that the first meeting is aimed at those working 9am to 5pm office hours, while the second is for those more comfortable with a daytime event, with content remaining the same for both.

PC Andrews invites anyone with questions or concerns to contact him at william.andrews@hampshire.police.uk.
