Wiltshire Community Foundation’s Surviving Winter programme has been running for more than 14 years, supporting thousands of people in Wiltshire and Swindon suffering from fuel poverty.
Last year, the programme helped 2,855 individuals.
The foundation provides fuel grants and works with partners including Age UK Wiltshire and Citizens Advice to offer guidance and support.

Charity highlights risk of ‘heat or eat’ choices as energy costs rise (Image: Wiltshire Community Foundation) This includes advice on keeping homes warm, managing energy bill debt and claiming benefits.
With rising energy costs and the loss of winter fuel payments for some, the charity says more people could face the choice between heating and eating.
Fiona Oliver, joint chief executive of Wiltshire Community Foundation, said: “As we enter January, often thought of as one of the darkest and coldest months of the year, we know that there are older and vulnerable who are too scared to put on their heating to keep themselves safe and warm.
“That is why we are once appealing for donations for our Surviving Winter campaign.”
