Singer Rita Ora has been replaced by Love Island host Maya Jama for the latest series that starts on January 4.
Ora appeared as a judge on The Masked Singer since it began in 2020 but it was confirmed in September 2024 that the ‘Hot Right Now’ singer would be stepping away from the guessing game show.

Why did Rita Ora leave The Masked Singer?
It’s reported by The Shields Gazette that Ora left the ITV show to become a judge across the pond, appearing in the USA version of The Masked Singer.
The singer is not the only judge to have left the show, with actor Ken Jeong originally on the ITV panel for its first series in 2020, however, due to COVID, he was later replaced by comedian Mo Gilligan.
Who has taken over from Rita Ora on The Masked Singer?
Ora has been replaced by presenter Maya Jama who previously discussed how excited she was to join the ITV show: “I’m such a Masked Singer fan, so joining the panel alongside Davina, Jonathan, and Mo—and of course working with Joel—is going to be so much fun!
“I can’t wait to figure out who’s underneath all those incredible costumes, vibe to their performances, and get front-row seats to the unmaskings. I’ve watched the show for a long time, so I’m definitely bringing my A-game to the panel!”
