A national chain has confirmed that its Haverhill branch is to close in a further blow for the town centre.
The WHSmith store in High Street will welcome customers for the last time on Saturday, April 26.
A spokesperson said: “It is no longer sustainable to continue to trade from this location and the decision has been taken to close the store as a result of the forthcoming lease expiry.

“We are disappointed to be losing our presence in Haverhill and we would like to thank all our customers for their support and for shopping with us.
“We are also extremely grateful for the commitment of our in store colleagues who we will support with this transition and redeploy to nearby stores, where possible.”
It is another loss for the town centre after staff at the discount store, Thing-Me-Bobs, in Queen Street were told on Wednesday that it will close, although they have not been told when that will happen or why it is happening.
It comes just two months after two shops that sit across from Thing-Me-Bobs in Queen Street, My Screen Monkey and Timpson, shut down.
