Viewers have been introduced to a new batch of contestants, made up of ‘Faithfuls’ and ‘Traitors’ all competing to win the cash prize at the end of the series.
But while many reality shows like Strictly Come Dancing go out to audiences live, The Traitors is pre-recorded.
When was The Traitors filmed?
Elen was one of the first contestants banished from series three of The Traitors.
Following her exit she caught up with BBC Cymru Fyw to talk about her time on The Traitors.
During the interview, she revealed The Traitors, series three, was filmed in Inverness, Scotland, in May last year (2024).
She added: “I’ve spent the last eight months keeping this a secret and it was incredibly difficult.”
What does a typical day of filming on The Traitors look like?
Elen also spoke about what it was like filming The Traitors, revealing a typical day at the castle consisted of “very long hours”.
She explained: “We were not told what time it was, we had no communication with the outside world and we didn’t sleep in the castle, we went back to our individual lodgings.”
But the 24-year-old added contestants tended to forget the cameras were there which is why viewers see so much emotion on the show.

“You forget more or less that you’re on television and being filmed.”
The Traitors contestants are still “really good friends”
Despite The Traitors being filmed last May, all the contestants have kept in touch and are still “really good friends”, according to Elen.
