HEALTH Secretary Wes Streeting was left-red faced after responding to a Northern Irish Unionist MP with a rant about the SNP.
Streeting appeared to confuse the DUP’s Jim Shannon with SNP MP Seamus Logan.
Both men are from Northern Ireland but look completely different – not to mention their glaring political differences.
Streeting might have thought his blunder would have escaped the public’s attention since it was made at a sparsely-attended health questions session on Tuesday – but luckily The Jouker’s moles never rest.

Shannon, who was sitting directly behind Logan, asked the Health Secretary: “Health is devolved in Northern Ireland but there are thousands of care packages in Northern Ireland not fulfilled. What can the Secretary of State do to assist Northern Ireland to achieve the goals that are set here for England and the UK and need to be in place for Northern Ireland?”

Streeting looked like he was struggling to place the long-serving MP, despite his almost legendary status in Westminster for his collegiate attitude and his indefatigable tendency to intervene in the adjournment debates which close the day’s proceedings.
Streeting made the boast that the Chancellor’s Budget had created a “rising tide to lift all ships across England, Wales and Scotland”.

Referencing an infamous comment he made to defend the devolved NHS in Wales, Streeting added: “I might even say that ‘all roads lead to Westminster’ and I say to SNP colleagues, down that road from Westminster leads the resources for the SNP government so that they don’t have the excuses not to act.”
Shannon could be seen looking baffled as he pointed to himself and then at Logan after Streeting finished speaking.
