Sarah Hall says she is ‘deeply concerned’ about today’s flooding that has affected homes and communities across her constituency.
It comes after emergency services have spent the day rescuing people from their homes which have been hit by floods across Warrington.
This morning, Wednesday, people were rescued from their homes on rafts in Broad Lane in Grappenhall.
While this afternoon, Southworth Avenue in Bewsey has been evacuated, with a large police and fire presence at the scene.
Both of these areas are in Ms Hall’s constituency.
In a statement, Ms Hall said: “I am deeply concerned about the flooding that has affected homes and communities across Warrington South.
“My thoughts are with everyone who has been impacted, and I want to assure you that I am doing everything in my power to support our communities during this difficult time.
“An emergency incident has been declared and a multi-agency response is underway. I am in close contact with the Council, Environment Agency and other partners to ensure a coordinated response.
“I am grateful for the tireless work of our emergency services, volunteers, and neighbours who have stepped up to help those in need.

The Environment Agency has said it is closely monitoring the situation and monitoring rainfall and river levels near to the Sankey Brook area in Dallam.
Its website reads: “River levels are expected to remain high.
“Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Sankey Brook, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around properties along the River Weaver Navigation and River Dane.
“We are closely monitoring the situation and monitoring rainfall and river levels.
“Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
“Don’t put yourself or others at risk.”
