Gi Group, which has a branch on Dallam Lane in Warrington, took on multiple fundraising events like food bank collections and a skydive to reach their impressive total.
Sally Charlton, people partner and chair of the CSR committee at Gi Group, said: “I’m incredibly proud of the team for everything they’ve achieved in our fundraising efforts.
“I’m so pleased we were able to support so many different charities.
“At Gi Group we focus on supporting charities that make a real difference and, in many instances, they have cared for and supported our team, both past and present.”
The year started with their company-wide conference in March, which saw them raise nearly £1,000 for Willow Burn Hospice in memory of their colleague, Sara O’Brien.
Following this, the team participated in food bank collections, the Dragon Boat Race, Race for Life challenges, Macmillan coffee mornings, and a skydive that raised £1,000.
The team also took on the Three Peaks Challenge for the second year in a row, a 30-mile hike up the highest mountains in England, Scotland, and Wales.
This feat alone raised £6,800 for Dementia UK and Well Child, with a crew of 15 exceeding their fundraising goals.

“I’d like to say a huge thank you and well done to everyone who took part in our fundraising throughout the year – thank you for your hard work and commitment to our selected charities.”
The business, which specialises in HR and recruitment across various sectors such as industrial, manufacturing, production, warehousing and distribution, is committed to selecting charities with a meaningful connection to its team.
Across the company’s 23 branches, teams have previously raised money for charities that support individuals within the organisation.
Ms Charlton added: “Not only are we focused as a business to do what we can with our charity fundraising, but our employees really go above and beyond to arrange challenges in their own time.
“We’re proud of the collaborative working environment we have created.
“I’m looking forward to the year ahead to see what our teams manage to achieve, and I have no doubt it will continue to be bigger and better.”
The company’s commitment to charity fundraising is part of its wider company culture, with a focus on supporting charities that make a significant difference in the community.
They recognise the challenges faced by many in 2024 and are grateful for the teamwork and dedication shown by each member of the business.
Their efforts have not only raised much-needed funds for charities across the country, but have also helped to create a nurturing and collaborative working environment.
According to the Chartered Institute of Fundraising, participating in company fundraising can help employees to feel united with a shared goal, and can foster a desire to learn and improve.
