Luke ‘The Nuke’ Littler is a 17-year-old darts sensation from Warrington who stormed to victory and became the PDC World Darts Champion earlier this month.
The teenager made history as the youngest ever to have won the competition after beating Michael Van Gerwen 7-3.
Now, pubs across the north west are taking part in a national darts competition, and are on the hunt for the next darts sensation.
The event, which is hosted by Proper Pubs and sponsored by Fosters, will follow a best-of-three legs, best-of-501 format.
Chapel House, on Chapel Lane in Burtonwood, and Royal Oak Branch, on Knutsford Road in Latchford, are two of the pubs taking part in the search for up-and-coming talent.
A total of 45 pubs will be taking part in the north west, including Little Pig and Boars Head in St Helens.
Pub heats began on Monday and will run until Friday, February 7. Each week, two competitors will advance to their pubs final, with a total of eight finalists by the end of the heats.
The pub finals will take place during the week of Monday, February 10, when the winner and runner-up for each location will progress to the regional finals a week later.
The nine regional finals will culminate in four finalists advancing to the grand final, where 36 competitors will battle it out on March 2 at the Town Hall Tavern in Oldham to win £1,000.
