Warrington MP launches fundraiser to support flood victims

The New Year’s Day flooding has devastated homes across Warrington, causing 140 people and 35 pets to be evacuated.

Sarah Hall, who is the MP for Warrington South, has launched a community fundraising campaign to help support affected residents.

“The New Year’s Day flooding has left many families in Warrington devastated,” she said.

“Our community has always come together in times of need, and this fundraiser is an opportunity to show that spirit once again.”

The New Year Floods Appeal aims to provide relief to those most affected, including food and supplied for those in temporary accommodation.

It will also help provide essential household items and support the repair and restoration of damaged properties across the town.

“This is a time for us to come together and support our neighbours, to help those impacted rebuild and recover,” said Ms Hall.

“Whether it’s supporting families in need, restoring damages, or ensuring that our town is better prepared for future challenges, every contribution will make a real difference.

“As your MP, I am committed to standing with Warrington South through this recovery process, ensuring that no one is left behind. Together, we can turn this moment of hardship into a story of resilience and hope.”

“If any constituent would like to get in touch to request help or support or to offer it, they can do so on my website. SarahHall.co.uk/Contact.

“If anyone would like to donate you can do so on the only official fundraising channel – www.gofundme.com/f/NewYearFloods .”

The fundraising campaign is inviting individuals, businesses and organisations to donate what they can.
