A warning has been issued to residents in Gwersyllt, Rhosrobin and Rhosddu after reports of a man trying car doors.
North Wales Police received multiple reports of the individual approaching vehicles in the early hours of Tuesday 14 January.
Police say that several vehicles were searched and that items were also taken.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “During the early hours of Tuesday 14th January 2025 a male is reported to have been in the local area trying car doors.
“We have received a number of reports from people reporting that they have had their vehicles searched through and items taken.
“If you have any information or CCTV footage that could assist us in our investigation of this, please contact 101, quoting reference 25000034254.
“Alternatively, you can use our online webchat facility by visiting the North Wales Police Website.
“Use this as a reminder to keep your vehicle secure. Opportunistic thieves often target unlocked cars, taking advantage of even the smallest window of opportunity. Stay safe and protect your belongings.”
