Pupils from Walthamstow’s Eden Girls’ School have delivered a range of gifts and toys to several local charities over the festive period.
Festive gift hampers and over 75 toys were delivered to the Lloyd Park Children’s Charity, in addition to a special gift-giving visit to Forest View Care Home.
Pupils enjoyed the opportunity to meet local residents, sharing stories and smiles before spreading winter warmth with their thoughtful gift parcels.
The school says that by interacting with the elderly residents and witnessing the impact of their donations, pupils “gained a greater understanding of the importance of giving back to the community, reinforcing the values of kindness and compassion that are at the heart of the school’s mission”.

Pupils also paid a visit to St. Andrew’s Church to deliver festive hampers to Reverend Stella Olukanmi, who warmly welcomed the thoughtful donations.
The Winter Gift Programme is an annual campaign which sees pupils and staff from every Star Academies school unite to participate in a broad range of charitable giving, acts of kindness and volunteering; all with one simple aim – to make sure no one faces the challenges of winter alone.
