Inverness Campus will remain closed to students for a second day on Friday, UHI Inverness has confirmed amid further weather warnings for the region.
The UHI Inverness, Balloch and Burnett Road campuses were all closed on Thursday after heavy overnight snow across the region caused widespread disruption.
Many bus services were cancelled for a time, and thousands of children enjoyed snow days after dozens of schools closed for the day.
And with further snow showers expected overnight, and temperatures forecast to plunge to -16C – and possibly even approach -20C – UHI Inverness has confirmed that its campuses will remain closed on Friday.
Online classes will, however, run as normal.

In a statement, it said: “Due to a warning for freezing temperatures and more snow, our campuses will be closed Friday, January 10.
“Safety is our top priority, and we want to avoid any risks from hazardous conditions. On-campus classes cancelled. Online classes proceed as normal.”
