Tynedale Hospice at Home tree collection raises £6,650

The Tynedale Hospice at Home’s initiative, now in its second year, had 315 trees registered, raising over £6,650 to support at-home care services.

Registrations increased by one-third compared to last year, putting the charity second nationally in terms of growth.

“The growth of our collection service truly shows the support we have from our community, and income raised will help local families get support when they need us most.”

The charity thanked MKM Building Supplies, Inhouse Designs Hexham, and The Hextol Foundation for providing vans and staff for the collection on January 9 and 10.

“As a local business, it is great to be able to support a cause that benefits those within our community.”

Bruce Howorth, CEO at The Hextol Foundation, said: “We’re proud to be involved in this incredible initiative with Tynedale Hospice at Home.

“It’s amazing that the funds raised will not only benefit the hospice’s important work but also support working opportunities for people in our community.”
