Tripadvisor’s fun things to do in Northumberland this spring

1 Bamburgh Castle

Known as the King of Castles, a fortification has dominated this site since Anglo-Saxon times when it was the capital of the kingdom of Northumbria.

Bamburgh Castle (Image: TripAdvisor) “A brilliant castle for history and castle enthusiasts with a dash of more modern history included in the castle’s internal museum. Stunning views, plenty of spaces to explore,” a Tripadvisor review said.

2 Cragside House and Gardens

Illuminated by hydroelectricity and powered by hydraulics, this pioneering home was filled with Victorian gadgets for efficient modern living.
