With 95 ‘excellent’ reviews, the highest rating possible on the online review site, the venue specialising in Indian, Thai and Mexican food is the top rated in Consett.
It has no zero-star ratings from reviewers.
“It would be fair to say that Consett is not traditionally a destination for fine dining but this is a place worth traveling for,” said one reviewer on the site, who gave the restaurant four stars.

“I had the jalfrezi and my granddaughter had the red Thai chicken curry, both were excellent and we ended up too full for a desert. Service, quality of food and price was brilliant. We will certainly be back.”

While in July, Soami’s welcomed former Gogglebox stars Anne and Ken for lunch.
