Trains between Worcester and Hereford cancelled for six days

West Midlands Railway has announced that trains between Worcester and Hereford will not run between January 26 and January 31 while engineering works are carried out.

Rail replacement buses will be operating during the period, while the essential track renewal works are completed.

Here is the full list of routes affected:

Sunday, January 26

Trains between Worcester Shrub Hill and Hereford will not run.

  • Trains between Birmingham New Street and Worcester Shrub Hill/Worcester Foregate Street / Hereford will be diverted, to run between Birmingham Snow Hill and Worcester Foregate Street, and will not call at University or Bromsgrove.
  • Trains between Lichfield Trent Valley and Longbridge/Redditch will run between Lichfield Trent Valley and Birmingham New Street only.
  • Trains between Birmingham New Street and Bromsgrove will not run.

Rail replacement will operate between:

  • Worcester Shrub Hill / Worcester Foregate Street – Hereford
  • Birmingham New Street – Longbridge / Redditch / Bromsgrove

 

Monday, January 27 – Friday, January 31

Trains between Worcester Shrub Hill and Hereford will not run.

  • Trains between Birmingham New Street and Great Malvern / Hereford run between Birmingham New Street and Worcester Shrub Hill / Worcester Foregate Street.

Rail replacement will operate between:

  • Worcester Shrub Hill / Worcester Foregate Street – Great Malvern / Hereford

During the works, access to the Ledbury Train Station car park will be reduced from from 10pm on Saturday, January 25 until 6am on Saturday, February 1.
