Sam Ellis and her two children Macoy and Moya Ellis co-own Tipsy Teacup in Friar Street, Worcester, but her son will no longer work at the cafe.
Mrs Ellis said: “My son is moving out of the business in a couple of months as it’s just not for him.
“He will still be a partner in it but he won’t be working here anymore.”
The trio have enjoyed their first few months but have had to put in strict rules at home.
She said: “We’ve had to put a ban on talking about work when we get home and we have to remind each other because we naturally just start because it is such a big part of our lives.
“We were talking about it all the time and then we started to argue and we had to put a stop to it.”
However, she said there are upsides to working with her family.
“Moya and I work so well together.
“She is in the kitchen and I am front of house and it works great.”

The family decided to open the cafe after they grew sick of their old jobs.
Now the cafe has been open for three months, Mrs Ellis has reflected on how things have been going.
She said: “We had a really great start in October, November was a difficult month but the Victorian Fayre helped make up for that and December was steady and we started to pick up leading up to Christmas.
“This is our first time so we don’t know whether this is what to expect but, as far as I am concerned, I think it has been a great start for a brand new business.”
Mrs Ellis said: “We are launching our new menu soon.
“We were still using the previous owner’s menu and now we have discovered which things don’t work.
“We have been too busy in recent weeks to get our events off the ground so that is something we are going to focus on this year.
“I have got a lot of ideas in mind and now it’s all about sorting out the details and making announcements but it is all very exciting.”
