Three men from London have been charged after burglary at Newmarket’s Vodafone store on Christmas Eve

A trio from London have been charged after a phone store burglary in Newmarket on Christmas Eve.

Bobby Ezeoba, 25, of Common Road, Plumstead; Jevan Davis, 26, of Gilbert Road, Belvedere and Samuel Zebo of Gorman Road, London, appeared before Suffolk Magistrates’ Court in Ipswich yesterday.

A gang of three males were seen to enter the Vodafone store in High Street at 9.30am on Tuesday, before pushing staff to the back of the shop.

They then stole an estimated £30,000 in goods before leaving.

Officers discovered a vehicle linked to the incident in London later that same morning.

The Metropolitan Police then arrested the trio before they were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Ezeoba stands accused of burglary, theft and failing to stop for police plus driving without insurance.

Meanwhile, Davis and Zebo were charged with burglary and theft.

Zebo and Davis are set to appear before Cambridge Crown Court on January 23.

Ezeboa was released with an electronic tag and curfew order.
