A West Berkshire primary school has been rated ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted.
Theale Primary School has been highly praised in its latest Ofsted report after inspectors visited in late November last year.
The school was highly praised in all areas
Highlights from their report read that “staff are utterly committed to the school’s vision” and that “pupils demonstrate a genuine love for learning” and exhibit “exemplary” behaviour.
It also praised the school for having a well-designed curriculum and the teachers and support staff for carrying out routine checks to ensure pupils are on track with their reading phonics learning.
Chair of governors Jon Houghton said: “Our staff and our pupils are amazing. It has been a long wait for Ofsted to come but we can now look forward to continuing to develop, but without that pressure hanging over us.
“Perhaps, though, what is most pleasing is that they have seen this is the result of the hard work of the whole school community, staff, pupils, parents and governors.
“Our unusual specialist teaching model, and extra-curricular activities, enable pupils of all abilities to develop to their potential.”
The report concluded “everyone is rightly proud to be a part of this school.”
The school currently enrolls 309 children.
It was previously rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the regulator.
