A SWAY-based mobile sauna firm has featured in festive live TV broadcasts.
Saltwood Sauna were invited down to Sobo Beach at Southbourne on 23rd December to take part in six live broadcasts on ITV shows This Morning and Loose Women.
The broadcasts were to celebrate the end of the TV show’s £200k Christmas giveaway. Presenter Kate Lawler spent the day on the beach with to promote the White Christmas Dip, a charity initiative which sees thousands of brave fundraisers taking part in a Christmas Day sea swim in aid of Macmillan Cancer Care.

“It’s such a fun location with a wonderful sense of community. Setting up the sauna as the sun came up was an incredible experience, as was having Bananaman, two lobsters and a penguin in the sauna!”
On Christmas Day thousands of plucky swimmers joined the White Christmas dip at Boscombe and Bournemouth beaches, alongside cast members from Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre’s 2024 panto Jack and the Beanstalk.

The White Christmas Dip was founded more than a decade ago by cousins Tommy Baker and John White after they decided to take a family swim on Christmas Day. Many participants dress in festive outfits for the seasonal dip as well as pledging to raise as much as possible for Macmillan Cancer Care. Over the years the event has raised more than £300,000.

Saltwood Sauna is the New Forest’s only mobile sauna company. It currently runs pop-up events in and around Lymington and is also available for private hire for individuals, retreats and other events.
