St Rocco’s annual Christmas tree collection postponed to January 18

The hospice says this is to ensure the safety of its volunteers and staff.

The collection was planned to take place this Saturday, however it has now been postponed by one week.

Instead, Christmas trees will now be picked up on January 18.

The event takes place each year in a bid to raise vital funds for the Bewsey hospice.

Last year, volunteers collected 2,600 trees from addresses across Warrington and raised an incredible £40,000 for the hospice.

The initiative covers Warrington postcodes from WA1 to WA5, as well as WA13.

Bookings for this year’s collection has now reopened.

Charlotte, senior events manager, said: “Booking is easy and can be done online at Tree Collection 2025 | St Roccos Hospice or by calling our Supporter Care team on 01925 579211.

“Please help us by donating what you can as every penny raised will go to the hospice to help pay for the services and care they deliver to patients and their loved ones.”

The hospice is also still looking for volunteers for this year’s event.
