Southend Council has reminded parents and carers that applications for reception places for September 2025 must be submitted by Wednesday, January 15.
Online applications can be made until 11.59pm on the day.
While late applications are accepted, the council has warned that applying on time increases the chances of securing a place at a preferred school.
