Having closed in June, Energie Fitness has now been listed as up for sale through estate agent, Dedman Gray, for £750,000.
The two-storey property is one of the larger spaces on the High Street and has a footprint of around 5,928 square feet.

Located opposite the Royals Shopping Centre, the space also features showers, toilets and changing facilities.

Labour’s leader of Southend Council, Daniel Cowan, said: “I hope that it is let soon as it’s in a fantastic location.
“Hopefully we will see some more retail or another entertainment destination to bring more footfall to the city.
“Many businesses reported strong Christmas trading, so this unit is a great opportunity for a business to move into the High Street.”

The council leader added: “It’s a challenging time for some businesses at the moment, but despite that, Southend High Street continues to ascend, with B&M and Dunelm Mills both due to open at opposite ends of the High Street.”
