Southchurch Avenue among upcoming road closures in January

Southchurch Avenue will be blocked off from 8am today from York Road to Kilworth Avenue.

This closure will be in place until 5pm on January 17, while Essex and Suffolk Water carry out a new water connection.

An alternative route will be available via Porters Grange Roundabout, Queensway, Southchurch Avenue and Ambleside Drive, Park Lane and York Road.

Further afield, in Stambridge, Apton Hall Road will be closed for Openreach cabling works this month.

The road will be shut west of its junction with Scotts Hall Road for one day on January 29.

The 7.5T weight restriction on that length of Lambourne Hall Road, High Street, Anchor Lane and Lark Hill Road, will also be temporarily suspended while this work takes place.

In Vange, Kent View Road will be closed for 15 days from today.

This is while Cadent undertakes mains replacement works from its junction with Byfleets.

Drivers will be diverted via Byfletts, Clay Hill Road, Bardfield, Kent View Road and vice versa.

Fairlop Gardens will also be closed in Barstable, from its junction with Hockley Road, on January 20.

The closure will be in place for 12 days while new connection works are carried out by Essex and Suffolk Water.

An alternative route is available via Hockley Road, Long Riding and vice versa, with access only into Fairlop Gardens.

Also on January 20, Kents Hill Road North will be closed in Benfleet.

The road will be shut for one day as carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
