Council bosses will be using new Government funding to tackle homelessness in our area.
South Holland District Council will be receiving a share of £45.2 million which is being given to councils in the East Midlands by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government to tackle the issue.
The authority says this money will be used to prevent rough sleeping and more families ending up in temporary accommodation after losing their homes.

Concerns have been raised in recent months about the number of rough sleepers in South Holland with 24 people highlighted in a recent count along with the issue of three men living in Spalding’s Abbey Passage.
A spokesman said: “As announced in the Autumn Budget, funding for homelessness services is increasing next year (25/26). This funding will help to prevent rises in the number of families in temporary accommodation and help to prevent rough sleeping.
“South Holland District Council is committed to meet local need across family and single homelessness and rough sleeping. This includes provision targeted at people at highest risk of repeat and enduring homelessness, such as people leaving institutions and care, and the most vulnerable families.
“We aim to ensure we try and keep homelessness and rough sleeping as brief as possible by offering sustainable accommodation options.”
