Lisa Stanley, from Worcester, attended Slimming World at Bromwich Road Mission Free Church to lose the weight she had gained while undergoing treatment.
The 56-year-old said: “After having breast cancer twice, I decided to begin my ‘build back better’ journey, which included losing the weight I had gained.
“I was nearly 19 stone at that time.
“One of my good friends was a Slimming World member and was achieving great results, so encouraged me to join and I have never looked back.”

Mrs Stanley did gain one thing from her Slimming World group in Bromwich Road: a new group of friends she regularly meets up with.
She said: “Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Having their support, humour and friendship, not to mention advice and top tips, have been invaluable.
“Throughout all my treatment and even a recent third cancer diagnosis I have never stopped attending the group.
“The support I receive and the encouragement to eat well and move more is much farther reaching than just weight loss.
“It is about friendship, shared experiences, laughter and most importantly living together.”
When asked for some top tips, Mrs Stanley added: “My advice to anyone who is thinking of joining a Slimming World group is do it and you will not regret it.
“Make time to stay for Image Therapy because it is where you will get top tips, swap recipe ideas and think about strategies for the week ahead.
“It really does make a difference.”
