Last year, Ayr India Seafront was crowned Best Indian Restaurant in the West of Scotland at the prestigious 2024 Spice Awards.
South Scotland MSP Sharon Dowey has now lodged a congratulatory motion in the Scottish Parliament recognising Ayr India’s achievement.
The Spice Awards, held at the DoubleTree Hilton in Glasgow, celebrate the best in Indian dining, bringing together the finest establishments from all over Scotland.
Ms Dowey met with family owners, Narinder, Balbir, Bhavenpreet and Sharanjit Sangha at their popular local restaurant on Ayr sea front.

The Conservative MSP said: “It was a real pleasure to visit Ayr India and present them with a parliamentary motion, congratulating the restaurant on their win.
“This award showcases the restaurant’s high-quality cuisine and customer service and is very well deserved.
“I was delighted to lodge a motion in the Scottish Parliament, recognising Ayr India’s win and congratulating them on this tremendous achievement.
“I have no doubt there are many more great things to come from the whole team at Ayr India and I wish them every success for the future.”
