Discussing the new opening, Tom Crowley, Popeyes UK chief executive, said after the taste of New Orleans first greeted hungry customers in Aberdeen last April, the appetite for Popeyes has continued to grow in the north.

He added that following a “successful year” of expansion in Scotland, where they apparently saw some of their most popular openings, the firm is excited to get the year off to a great start by welcoming customers to its newest drive-thru in Wellington Circle, Altens.

A number of Popeyes locations exist across Scotland with chicken lovers able to enjoy the chain’s famous Louisiana taste at various restaurants, including two in Glasgow.
