School Brow Retail Park is located just off Cockhedge Green roundabout, and it features Farmfoods and Formula One Autocentres.
However, a new firm is set to move onto the site this year, with a number of car parking spots removed to accommodate the kiosk.
This will be occupied by a Krispy Kreme drive-thru venue, with planning documents last autumn proposing a project start date of January 2025.
The plans go on to propose a project duration of 12 weeks, with a completion date estimated to be April 2025.
Now, new plans have revealed that School Brown Retail Park is to change its name to A57 Retail Park.
New signage was proposed featuring the A57 Retail Park branding, as well as logos for all three businesses based there.
These sign designs have been approved
These signage plans have now been approved by Warrington Borough Council’s planning department.
Although eight EV charging spots will be created through the opening of Krispy Kreme, the scheme overall will reduce the size of the car park by 33 spaces, from 120 to 87.
A traffic impact statement for Krispy Kreme stated: “Vehicle trips to and from the proposed drive-thru unit would likely be in the local area in any event.
“As such, it is not anticipated that the development would affect the nature of the operation of the local road network.”
The kiosk unit will not feature any internal customer seating, meaning that all food sold from the unit will be collected and consumed off-site via customer collection points.
Krispy Kreme, an American multinational doughnut company and coffee house chain, was founded by Vernon Rudolph in North Carolina in 1937.
