One parent said: “The manager Karen and the staff are all absolutely excellent childcare providers.
“The preschool is a safe and secure environment where children can thrive and feel comfortable at all different levels of development.
“The activities are adapted for all abilities so every child is able to join in and feel like part of the family, which is the feeling you get at Salvation Army Preschool.
“Karen was there for me and my daughter whenever I had any concerns about her development or behaviour.
“She also noticed at drop off when I was personally going through a difficult time and chatted with me, offering her help and support again.”
Karen Perry, manager at Salvation Army Preschool in Ombersley Way, said the staff are very honoured to be nominated for the award.
“We as a team work hard each day to give our children the best start in life we possibly can and strive to ensure they have the right support in place for when they come to move onto school,” she said.
“We work closely with our parents, too, so that they feel supported and involved in their child’s journey.
“In our setting, we see our families as part of the wider Salvation Army family.
“It feels so lovely to be recognised for everything we do.
“I honestly can’t quite believe this.”
The 2025 awards will run across all of our local titles and websites — Worcester News, Malvern Gazette, Evesham Journal, Bromsgrove & Droitwich Advertiser, Kidderminster Shuttle and Redditch Advertiser.
The nomination closing date is January 26.
