William Murdoch, 57, pleaded guilty to breaking an order that was granted on May 8 last year.
He admitted breaching bail between October 25-26 by not presenting himself at the door of his address between curfew hours of 7pm and 7am.
He also breached bail again on November 26 by being outwith his address during the same hours.
At Kilmarnock Sheriff Court, a procurator fiscal depute revealed that police had made several attempts to contact Murdoch during the dates in question after they were informed he was not within his bail address.
They eventually contacted him on November 26, where he told officers by phone that he was on his way home on a bus.
He was later traced, cautioned and charged.
His defence solicitor told the court that Murdoch would “welcome alcohol treatment support” as part of any sentencing.
Sheriff Laura Mundell said: “An alcohol treatment requirement is a penalty I can impose that would also support you.”
Murdoch, of Countess Street, was handed 12 months of supervision and an alcohol treatment requirement for the same period, meaning he must attend any support or sessions he is told to.
