Warrington Borough Council has published a series of Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 traffic notices notifying people of the closures.
A temporary prohibition of driving order will be in place on Jubilee Way, Ireland Street, Jockey Street, Longford Street and Bluecoat Street in Orford.
The order will be effective from January 18, with the works carried out in phases over consecutive weekends.
Only one closure will be in place at any one time for a period of f weekends, as and when signed on-site, with access under the control of the relevant contractor for the duration of the works.
A council spokesman said: “The closures are required to allow for Scottish Power to install a new 33KV main.”
A new 33KV cable is also to be installed in Culcheth on Daten Avenue, with a prohibition of driving notice coming into effect from January 27.
The closure, in phases lasting three weeks, will be westbound from its junction with Risley Road to its junction with Warrington Road.
Waring Avenue in Westy will also see a temporary prohibition of driving order in place from January 27 for two weeks.
This is from its junction with Bowman Avenue to its junction with Brook Avenue passageway, to the rear of numbers three to 17.
“The closure is required to allow United Utilities to carry out sewer repairs,” the council said.
