Following a sold-out event in October last year, nurses at Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists (SCVS) in Ringwood, will teach pet owners the basics of first aid.
The session, scheduled from 9.30am to 12.30pm on Wednesday, January 22, will equip owners with skills to handle difficult situations their pets might encounter.
The SCVS nursing team will share their expertise on various topics, including heatstroke, CPR, how to apply bandages and how to assemble a basic pet first aid kit at home.

Hospital director at SCVS, Natalie Patten, said: “We want to help owners feel more confident in looking after their pets, especially in the early stages of an incident occurring.
“As much as we want to avoid them, emergencies happen.
“The best thing you can do is be prepared to act quickly, and knowing basic pet first aid can make a world of difference.
“Whether it’s a minor injury or a more serious situation, these sessions will give pet owners the knowledge and confidence to help stay calm and act quickly while waiting for professional care.”
Natalie continued: “We had great feedback from our first session and were inundated with demand from those who weren’t able to secure a spot at the October workshop, so we’re delighted to be able to host another event for local pet owners.”
