Railway disruption warning for North Ayrshire trains

Emergency services have been dealing with an incident near the line between Kilwinning and Lochwinnoch.

And services between Glasgow Central and Largs, Ayr and Ardrossan Harbour were said to be subject to possible delays or cancellations.

An update shared earlier on Tuesday read: “Following the emergency services dealing with an incident between Kilwinning and Lochwinnoch earlier, all lines have now reopened.

“As the service recovers, trains may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised. ”
