An exact opening date has not been given by the gym chain, which has more than 360 24-hour gyms across the UK.

According to the PureGym website, the Winchester branch will offer a range of classes alongside its large quantity of equipment. However, the list of classes is not currently available.

PureGym is currently offering reduced membership prices to celebrate the opening. The core membership is being offered for £12.99, down from £26.99, and the plus membership is being offered for £20.99, down from £34.99.

As previously reported, in November Winchester City Council approved plans for Curry’s to be converted into a gym.
