Punters ‘gutted’ as Scottish pub and kitchen closes suddenly

The Glenhead Tavern in Duntocher decided to close its doors on January 6, their chef has confirmed.

(Image: Google Maps) Jamie Davidson, owner of Jamie’s Kitchen which ran out of the establishment, took to social media to share the news.

He said: “It’s with a heavy heart we have had to close tonight for the foreseeable future.

“Gutted is an understatement, thank you to all my staff hopefully, we will get another premise soon. Thank you again for all your continued support.”

It is understood that the owner of the pub, which is also known as O’Donnells, has made the decision not to continue the lease.

Many of the pub’s customers have taken to social media to voice their upset at the decision and the subsequent closure of Jamie’s Kitchen.

One commented: “There were nine of us booked to have a meal this Thursday, so disappointed and feel sorry for the staff.”

Another said: “Gutted for you, hopefully not too long till you’re on the go somewhere else. Keep us posted, your food is stunning.”

A third added: “It’s a shame, but if people don’t go local then they will all eventually close.”
