Fisherton Warehouse used to be spread across two floors but has downsized to allow the first floor to be sealed off and redeveloped into four flats.
The Fisherton Street business, which opened in 2017, closed on October 31 to enable builders to carry out the required work and reopened on January 2.
It continues to stock retro and antique products from around 25 traders. Owner Joe Henry, 61, is “delighted” to be welcoming customers again.

“We’ve had a really good response. It’s been positive,” he said.
“A lot of people we have gotten to know have come in, so it’s been nice. It’s like seeing old friends again.
“Condensing the store means we can get our overheads down, and that will help to future proof the business and makes it much easier to manage.
“The traders were really pleased to be back for the new year. We’ve all been a little bit lost without it, and it’s a bit of a social hub, too.”

“It’s similar to what we had, but it looks even better to me,” said Joe.
“We’re very reasonable in price. We’re recycling as well, so it keeps down on waste. A lot of the older stuff tends to be better quality. It’s well made.”
