POLICE are appealing for information after a young man was pushed into traffic during a fight.
The incident happened in Teignmouth where two groups of youths were reported to have been involved.
One eye witness described on social media seeing one group of youths ‘punching and spitting’ on the other group who appeared to be walking away from the trouble.
The witness said: ‘One of the young lads was beaten up by the other group pretty badly.’

The incident happened at about 3.30pm on Bitton Park Road outside Tesco on Sunday January 5.
A spokesman for Teignmouth neighbourhood policing team said: ‘During the assaults one of the young males was pushed onto the main road near the traffic lights.
‘If anyone has any DASH cam footage recorded at that time, or ring door bell footage, could they please review and make contact if they see any assault take place.’
They also asked for the witness to the assault who reported the incident to police to make contact with them again.
The witness posted on social media: ‘Teenagers fighting people for no apparent reason is one of the reasons me and my kids are scared to go out these days.
‘I wanted to bring awareness to the community, please watch out for these youths.’
