Amy Clucas, 33, and Jenna Morgan, 27, have a combined 20 years experience working as physio therapists.
The pair have worked for the NHS within a variety of health care settings but noticed that private physiotherapy sessions aren’t always that accessible.
While getting to appointments isn’t a problem for some people in need of treatment, for others it’s a different story entirely.
For people who have suffered a stroke or have limited mobility due to neurological conditions, this treatment can be inaccessible and lead them to go without help.
So, Amy and Jenna decided that they wanted to use their passion for helping people within the community and started their own mobile physiotherapy business – Physio at Home.
“We noticed there was a bit of a gap in the market,” said Amy.
“So, we thought we would help people in the local community, as some people can’t access private physio.
“We set up to help people, so they don’t miss out.”

While they are based in Wigan, the pair travel across the north west to help those in need including Warrington, St Helens and Bolton.
Amy and Jenna focus their attention on helping those who can’t access treatment outside of their home, which can include people living in care homes.
“There aren’t a lot of services out there that kind of cover nursing and residential homes,” said Jenna.
“Some people don’t go there permanently, some go in short term if they’ve been unwell with the aim to get home. We’ve been able to help them return home.
“It’s a lot of families that get in contact with us as well. So, although we’re helping the patient that we’re going out to, it’s their extended family that benefit from it as well because they can see their loved one getting better.”
The duo hope to eventually expand the business, which is currently operated solely by the two of them and help more and more people across the region.
