Pearl Lane Stourport close due to work on new development

According to the Worcestershire County Council website, Pearl Lane is closed for five days from today (January 6).

There is a valid permit in place until 5pm on Friday (January 10).

A full road closure will be in place on part of the B4194 Pearl Lane from its junction with U64218 Redhouse Road for a distance of 165 metres in a northerly direction.

The closure is needed to replace a gas main by S&R Construction as part of the work on the new housing development.

The public notice said: “Access for emergency vehicles is not possible due to excavation work on the carriageway. The diversion route must be followed.”

Access will be permitted to premises fronting the affected highway where there is no other form of access.

A diversion route is in place via Pearl Lane, Stourport Road, Areley Common, Windmill Bank, Dunley Road, Pearl Lane and vice versa.
