It will take their yearly pay to £74,506, it can be revealed.
That is up £2,310 from the previous £72,196.
It is amongst the highest pay rise awarded to Scottish politicians in recent years, with a staggering 6.7% increase given last year.
However, it’s understood a voluntary pay freeze will continue for Scottish ministers, including First Minister John Swinney.
Cabinet Secretaries are entitled to £118,511 but a voluntary pay freeze means they receive the 2008 level of £96,999, with their regular MSP salary included, while ministers are on £81,499.
In 2023-24, MSPs were only awarded a 1.5% pay rise, and a 3.4% increase in 2022-23.

The method of calculating pay rises for MSPs changed in line with the Average Weekly Earnings (AWE) index.
Last year, the method moved away from the Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE Mean) which the Presiding Officer Alison Johnstone described as “misaligned” in a letter to Holyrood’s finance committee.
There were reports of discontent after the ASHE method only indicated a 1.5% pay rise in 2023-24 when general inflation was at 10%.
A Scottish Government spokesman confirmed there are “no plans” to remove the freeze on ministerial pay.
He said: “Ministerial pay has been voluntarily frozen for 15 years by Scottish Ministers and there are no plans to change this.”
