Hays Travel, chartered a direct flight to Barbados, aimed at providing customers the ‘ease and convenience’ of flying from their local airport.
Hays Travel staff greeted passengers at Newcastle Airport’s check-in and hosted an exclusive airside drinks reception.
The two-week cruise on P&O Cruises’ ship, Arvia, takes passengers on a Caribbean adventure around islands like Grenada, St Lucia, St Maarten, and Antigua.
Hays Travel Wallsend’s branch manager David Musson, who was at the airport to see customers off said: “It was a great morning at the airport with a real buzz of excitement.

Passengers Pauline and Ray Newton, from Belford, Northumberland, were among those setting off.
They were celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary said: “Hays Travel have been great.
“They take all the pain away.”
