Overnight accommodation could open at a pub on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds town centre.
Keven Swales, who runs The Linden Tree in Out Northgate, wants to transform and extend outbuildings at the pub into six one-bedroom units.
The single and two-storey outbuildings are at the back of the Greene King pub.

A planning application to West Suffolk Council said the ground floor will feature double rooms with en-suite facilities and private garden terraces.
Meanwhile, a two-storey extension will be added behind the two-storey masonry outbuilding to provide first-floor accommodation.
Mr Swales, who also runs The Bunbury Arms, in Great Barton, reopened the pub in July following a refurbishment.
A design and access statement said the proposal supports the commercial viability of the Grade II listed pub, enhancing its ability to attract visitors and sustain operations.
The pub originally opened as the Railway Hotel in 1846 and was renamed the Railway Tavern.
By the late 20th century, it became the Linden Tree and was briefly called Station in 2014 before reverting back to Linden Tree in 2022.
